Valentines Day Martinis - Candy Hearts

I am working on some drink recipes for my event at Sweets, Treats & Designs coming up on January 31st. The party is 1pm - 4pm. I will be doing giveaways and serving you fabulous martinis, appetizers and gift ideas for your sweetie.

A Boutonniere You Could Eat - Perfect for Mexico Wedding

I subscribe to Martha Stewart's Weddings Idea of the Day that gets emailed every morning. A lot of the content has been in past issues of Martha Stewart Wedding magazines over the years and are not brand new ideas to me. I do LOVE this idea that I have never seen before. This Boutonniere would be perfect less the button and rosemary for my Mexico wedding - love the chili peppers and will design something without the other elements.

I have definatley been spending quite a bit of time looking at some incredible wedding blogs recently and looking at bridesmaids dresses too. I am not a huge color person but feel like a beach wedding in Puerto Vallarta calls for some color for the bridesmaids. I like the idea of yellow right now. I am obsessed with finding out who the made the yellow short dress that Ali wore on the episode of the Bachelor last night (I am guilty of watching this). I think the dress pictured above by Mykonos could be a good option for the Welcome Dinner dress option.

Cocktails & Eccentric Glamour - Inspiring New Books

I found a great book called Cocktails at work today - this book has 1500 cocktail recipes and is put put by Ketel One Vodka. I have a few other books similar to this one by Grey Goose and the other Bombay Sapphire - they all have innovative cocktail recipes - I am excited to feature some new creative drinks at the restaurant.

The other book is Eccentric Glamour: Creating an Insanely More Fabulous You by Simon Doonan. He is the man responsible for twenty years of the hottest window displays in the world at Barney's New York. Confessions of a Window Dresser is another book by Doonan that I am dying to read. Eccentric Glamour has great reviews and I am excited to start reading!

Adam loves puzzles and I gave him this incredible puzzle from Anthropologie - it took him quite a few days to complete this. The pieces come in funky shapes - like a man on a unicycle, ballerinas, and a dog jumping through a hoop.

I got the Kuerig Coffee Maker for Christmas and love it! It is the perfect solution for a couple with different schedules. Instead of making an entire pot or french press of coffee and wasting half of it - you can make a perfect cup each time.

Bloom - V.I.P. - Loving this!

I received an email today from one of my favorite stores in Uptown Gig Harbor - Bloom. Effective today Bloom has launched a V.I.P. program. For a fee of $25 for the entire year - you will receive 10% all regular price purchases! I love this - they carry Theory (my favorite dress pants and suits), Prairie Underground, James Perse (good basic t-shirts) great denim & jewelry.
