Excited to Bake

Swirl Baking Cups

Tulip Muffin Papers

I was recently given King Arthur Flour - the baker's catalougue and after flipping though every page and seeing all the amazing gadgets are out there in the culinary world I felt inspired to bake. The tulip muffin papers and the swirl baking cups are among the goodies in my order. I have not ever seen the tulip muffin papers anywhere before and love the presentation and love the fun & playful swirl baking cups! They have a great blog too with delicious recipes.

Heather's Baby Shower

Celebrate Today!
"It's Almost Thyme" - Potted thyme favors for each guest

Lisa & Heather, the mom to be!

Beautiful cake made by Sara Bitterling
The table overlooking American Lake

Last weekend we celebrated the upcoming arrival of Heather & Danny's baby girl. The shower was held at Tacoma Golf & Country Club. We enjoyed a brunch on the deck overlooking American Lake - it was a beautiful setting. Heather is an outdoor girl who loves the water so this was the perfect spot to celebrate her upcoming bundle of joy! The shower theme was built around the fabric that Heather had selected for the baby's room - the fabric is beautiful and has a bird in the pattern. I LOVE birds right now! Lisa and I - my co-host selected the invites around this theme. I have a few pieces around my house that went along with the theme that we used in the decor as well. The "Celebrate" favors were created around the theme...I found cute small nests at Beau-Coup, filled them with Jordan almonds, dropped them in a clear gift bag and created the tags in my mom's card studio (aka her downstairs). The favors for each guest was an individual pot of thyme with a cute flag that read "It's Almost Thyme" these flags were also created in my mom's card studio. The pots were easy to make and everyone loved them. Heather's favorite flowers are peonies - I bought the flowers from J.Robbins Florist - we used peonies & roses on the tables in clear vases and mercury vintage vases from Calla Lily . Sara made the most amazing cake for the shower - she also used the fabric as inspiration for the cake. It was a fun afternoon with friends that all gathered to celebrate Heather & Danny's upcoming arrival!

Happy Easter!

I was at work yesterday and my good friend, Jennifer of J.Robbins Florist brought by me the most thoughtful Easter gift. It made my day! I had never seen Lily of the Valley before yesterday or smelled it. It is the most fragrant flower! She put these flowers in a small clear vase. It was given in a vintage strawberry basket along with some great chocolates.
Thanks Jen!

Circus Tini

graphic design by Jon Tartaglia

We are always excited at the restaurant when a big act comes into town. Yesterday I came up with a martini to tie in with the Britney Spears concert. It was a yummy drink and the best thing about this martini was the garnish/rim. We rimmed the martini glasses in POP ROCKS!
It was a huge hit!

Captain's Dinner with Captain Johnathan

Above is the ticket that we created for the Captain's Dinner at Varsity Grill coming up on April 21st. Captain Johnathan & crew of the Time Bandit as seen on The Deadliest Catch will be appearing at Varsity Grill for a meet & greet, and viewing party of the 2nd episode of Season 5 of The Deadliest Catch.
Instead of just creating a standard ticket for the dinner, we made ticket badges for the dinner. These are really simple to make and create a VIP feel for your guests with their event tickets.
All you need is business card size cards with your artwork, laminating pouches, laminating machine, hole punch and lanyards.
